A new lens can be placed directly on the eye from the vial or rinsed with saline solution prior to placement. Place the lens on the index finger of your dominate hand. Be sure the lens sits up (like a bowl) on your finger. No portion of the edge of the lens should not be draped over your finger.
Do not touch the back surface of the lens as you prepare to place it on the eye so that it will remain free of debris.
